A mixed bag

Our KHS meeting this month started out at a cafe in Hawera for lunch then back to Nancy's for a cuppa and relax time stitching.  Our lunch was a mixed bag with half the group enjoying there's and half of us really disappointed with ours!

Not a lot of finished projects this month, everyone has lost the wind from their sails with the exception of Nancy! The top photo is of Claire's knitted blocks she is doing for another group she is in and the photo's below are of Nancy and her box fill of knitted singlets for new born babies which she gives to the hospital and blankets, lot of blankets!!
It was kind of fitting that we ended up at Nancy's this month as it may be her last time she hosts us in her home as she is looking at moving to a small unit!  I always love going to Nancy's, it feels like home, so I thought I better take some photos, to showcase her many talents, from quilting, cross stitching, sewing and knitting!!

She is a talented lady and has her gorgeous crafts all around her home.
She is also crazy ....................in a wonderful way too.................don't you just love her mail box!!!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful week, full of creative bliss!

  3. Lovely Michelle. When Claire used to have her patchwork shop, we bought a beautiful angel quilt from there for my Mum - it was some of Nancy's work & is so lovely. I hope you girls all get "the wind back in your sails" soon.
